A Lightweight Natural Foundation

Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques Creme Foundation is a nontoxic foundation that provides a silky finish. It’s good for days you don’t want heavy coverage, and is made with natural and nontoxic ingredients. Here’s my full review:

Why I Decided to Try It

I wear foundation almost every day, so I keep various products in the rotation depending on the type of coverage I need. When I checked the Amazon reviews and saw people happy about the lightweight nature of the Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques cream product, I decided to give it a try for myself. The shade I use is neutral no. 20.

First Impression

The Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques products aren’t flashy; the label is a sticker that feels like it will come off after not much use. But I don’t want to pay for fancy packaging anyway. The product itself looks amazing: it’s frothy!

Ease of Use

It is very easy to blend this foundation. It almost disappears into your skin.

Effectiveness

This is a great option for light coverage, and I bet I will use it a lot in the summer. While I would need a stronger concealer for my under-eye area, this foundation did reduce the appearance of a sun spot on my cheek. If you’re looking for a “no-makeup” soft finish, this is a great option.

Ingredients

Certified Organic Fractionated Cocos Nucifera (Coconut Oil Extract), Zinc Oxide, Certified Organic Beeswax, Certified Organic Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Silica, Non-GMO Leucidal Complete, Certified Organic Argania Spinsosa (Argan) Oil, Certified Organic Rosa Canina Fruit (Rosehip Seed) Oil, Certified Organic Melia Azadirachta (Neem) Seed Oil, Natural Clay, Certified Organic Camellia Sinensis Leaf (Green Tea) Extract, Certified Organic Passiflora Incarnata (Passionflower) Flower Extract, Certified Organic Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Fruit Extract, Non-GMO Natural Vitamin E Oil (+/-, Iron Oxides, Mica, Org Essential Oil Blend).

The product gets a 2 on EWG (self-report). The report raises some moderate concerns for essential oils and “Non-GMO Leucidal Complete” (a preservative).
