FACE Stockholm has been around since the 1980s. The Swedish brand creates quality, professional-grade cosmetics, often made with natural and safe ingredients. For example, FACE recently updated its FACE Stockholm Picture Perfect Foundation to include a coconut oil base. I’ve used the foundation for more than a year now and am addicted to its full coverage and creamy consistency. Here’s my full FACE Stockholm Picture Perfect Foundation review:
Why I Decided to Try It
I came across FACE Stockholm while in Stockholm (no surprised there!). The store caught my eye, with its clean aesthetic and pops of color. I had recently ditched my beloved MAC makeup, due to their potentially-dangerous ingredients, and needed safe products to help me create a “full face.” Their cream foundation promised a perfect complexion with added moisturizing effects. I decided it would be a souvenir from my trip to Stockholm and went for Shade B.

First Impression
I liked that the FACE products have the same pro look and feel I got from MAC. The foundation smells like baby powder, but it’s more of a hint than an overwhelming odor.
Ease of Use
A little goes a long way with this foundation. (I’ve had it for more than a year, and haven’t made a big dent in it.) Because it has strong pigmentation, you have to blend diligently. It almost feels like you’re painting your face, but in a good way. I find the product blends better with my fingers. Sometimes I will spritz my face with water after applying it. And then I use my beauty blender to sheer it out.
Effectiveness
I am obsessed. This product doesn’t require that you trade quality for safety. Since discovering it, the foundation has become my go-to when I want a flawless face. It truly covers up imperfections and stays in place all day. I’m not surprised the brand says it works well for on-camera appearances. You might describe it as “heavy,” but that’s what I’m looking for in a full-coverage option.
It truly covers up imperfections and stays in place all day.
In fact, I almost feel like I’m cheating on my safe-makeup pledge when I use it because it’s so much more effective than other “natural” makeup I’ve tested. I have to remind myself that, yes, all the ingredients are safe. Which brings me to . . .

Ingredient Breakdown
Coconut (Cocos Nucitera) Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Ozokerite, Carnauba (Copernicia Cerifera) Wax, Stearic Acid (Vegetable). May Contain: Iron Oxides Cl 77491, Cl 77492, Cl 77499, Titanium Dioxide Cl 77891, Ultramarine Blue Cl77007.
FACE Stockholm recently changed the formulation to make it more natural and include coconut oil. I researched the ingredients using EWG’s build your own report tool, and the Picture Perfect foundation gets a 1, meaning it has a low hazard. In fact, every ingredients gets a 1 besides iron oxides, which gets a 2. This is one of the best safe foundations available.
