If you’re pregnant, you should avoid cosmetics that contain endocrine disruptors like parabens and phthalates. These chemicals can interfere with your body’s normal hormone functions and possibly cause problems for the fetus growing inside of you. Issues could include low birth weight, or cancer and reproductive problems as your baby grows into an adult. I think most moms-to-be would agree makeup is not worth the risk. The good news: it’s actually not that hard or expensive to make a switch, since pregnancy safe drugstore makeup exists.
